NANNING, Oct. 21 (Xinhuanet) -- A total of 95 agreements have been signed at the ongoing China-ASEAN Expo so far with a total contract value of 4.79 billion US dollars, the ASEAN Secretariat said here Friday.
The agreements mainly covered the fields of mining, especially aluminum production, says a Secretariat press release.
The four-day China-ASEAN Expo, which began Wednesday, has attracted more than 2,100 companies from 31 countries and regions.
China and the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) have agreed to build up a free trade area before 2010.
The exposition is held annually in Nanning, capital of the Zhuang Autonomous Region in southwest China, to facilitate China-ASEAN trade and economic cooperation.
