While in Viet Nam, the delegates will attend a workshop on economic development cooperation between Viet Nam and China through the establishment of two economic corridors, namely Kunming-Lao Cai-Ha Noi and Nanning-Friendship Pass-Ha Noi, and the Mekong basin economic cooperation area.

The 259-member delegation is scheduled to meet with senior officials of the three above-said countries in a bid to enhance cultural exchanges between Guangxi and ASEAN members, promote the establishment of the China-ASEAN Free Trade Area (FTA), and introduce the second China-ASEAN Fair.

Artists accompanying the delegation will give special art performances of ethnic groups in Guangxi during the visit.
